This is a critical role for Asia business development. This open position will support the aggressive growth plan of A&S and construction in Asia. Based on the VCP by 2030,the CAGR is above 35% for each application. We need a technical expert to support the value creation plan.
Job Description
- Working with Marketing and current sales team, support and expand business relationships with our current customer base in the assigned territory including a few large corporate accounts with multiple locations
- Prospecting for new customers and applications in the area of additives sold to adhesives, sealants, construction and other adjacent industries.
- Assisting with customer lab trials and scale-ups at their location
- Drive growth in the territory by prospecting and developing new customers and by new product introduction and startup
- Work with a multi-functional account team that provide product development to key customers
- Coach sales team to identify and develop new accounts
- Conduct market surveys, competitive analysis, and prepare demand forecasts for your territory
- Help represent Elementis at key trade shows
What will it take
- A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in technical sales with a demonstrated track record of success.
- Willing to travel, overnight travel required, minimum of 50% travel.
- Experience working with multi-functional teams
- Sales territory management including forecasting, planning and prioritization
- Eagerness & willingness to prospect and close new accounts
- Self-starter
- Experience and success in value-added selling
- Excellent written & verbal communications skills & presentation skills
- Strong technical, engineering, organizational, administrative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills required, specifically in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access) including customer-relationship management e.g. Salesforce.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) preferred in chemistry, engineering, business, or a related field.
- Technical service or Sales experience selling additives to the adhesives & sealants industry
- Technical or sales experience in construction additives markets
