Grout
Low viscosity and greater uniformity of hardened properties
The use of additives and admixtures in cement-based grout formulations has become routine in professional grouting practice. Improved rheological and setting properties simplify the production of stable and more durable potting compounds and grouts.
Our clay-based additives increase the quality of cement-based materials and leads to greater uniformity of hardened properties. The platelet structure of clays in construction materials play an important role by breaking apart under shear, effectively acting as lubricants during pumping, and subsequently resetting when shear or mixing ceases. This unique property minimises waste and enhances quality, resulting in smoother surfaces with fewer cracks, facilitating easier painting.
Products
BENTONE® CT
Hectorite clay that provides improved workability and tooling - attributed to the platelet structure of the clay, thus reducing the friction between sand and cement particles.
BENAQUA® 5000
A modified hectorite clay - improves the sag and workability performance of tile adhesives and other dry mortar mixes.
DAPRO® PD 827
A silicone free powdered defoamer – helps to eliminate entrained air in dry mixes.
