Canned foods have the longest shelf life among all packaged foods. To ensure that the taste and quality of food are preserved for an extended period, high-performance can coatings are essential, especially in harsh environments. These coatings must be exceptionally flexible since the can sheets are not deformed until after the coating is applied. Consequently, the interior coating of food cans must prevent the tin from separating from the sheet and should not contain any soluble substances that can transfer into the food.
