The patented AqFresh technology is based on the use of AqFresh Pure for the capture of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and malodor molecules. AqFresh Pure contains barrel-shaped molecules that have a hydrophobic cavity and an electronegative polar portal. These structures facilitates high affinity binding via non-covalent interactions to a wide spectrum of molecules with different sizes and functional groups. AqFresh Pure neutralises malodours by removing them quickly (instead of masking them). AqFresh Pure has a high chemical and thermal stability.
