Non-animal origin mild surfactant for Cosmetics and Toiletries

BETAFAN-M is a high molecular weight betaine with a significant level of unsaturation.

BETAFAN-M causes less defatting of the skin than other conventional betaines. It is mild and causes less irritation.

BETAFAN-M is very stable. Traditional surfactant systems tend to irritate because they defat tissue. Therefore, formulators add unsaturated molecules such as oleyl amides and oleyl betaines to mitigate the irritation, but these materials tend to oxidize to aldehydes and do not smell good. As a result, high fragrance levels are required. BETAFAN-M systems reduce this effect.

BETAFAN-M can be used in surfactant and non-surfactant systems for effective conditioning.
