NALZIN^® FA 180

NALZIN FA 180 is a corrosion inhibitor for aqueous paint systems to counteract the formation of flash-rust. The product is also recommended as an in-can corrosion inhibitor. When emulsified in water, NALZIN FA 180 may be used as a temporary rust inhibitor.

FEATURE & CONSEQUENCE

• Based on an organic zinc complex with a low nitrite addition - Shows a strong affinity for iron substrates to prevent flash-rusting
• Although water dispersible, the product changes to a non-water dispersible, insoluble zinc compound during the film drying stage sensitivity -decreased water sensitivity -forms an anionic passivated layer that provides corrosion inhibition after the film has dried -can be utilized as an in-can rust inhibitor -improved weathering
